Today is our 7th Annual Labor Day Bike Event, featuring a Poker Run from 11 - 3PM.  We have a live band from 3 - 8PM.  We're serving food, our famous clam fritters, pork bbq, hamburgers, fries, beer, soda and water.  We are serving food to the public, so if you don't "ride" you are still welcome to enjoy the food, music and fun.

Members of the Girdletree Volunteer Fire Company served many Clam Fritters, Fries and Ice Tea during the 2010 Worcester County Fair in Snow Hill this past weekend.  We'd like to thank all those who purchased our items.  This was our 3rd year in a row we served Clam Fritters at the fair.  See you next year.

On Friday, August 13, 2010 at 3:20PM Girdletree responded to a vehicle accident near 3323 Snow Hill Road, just north of Girdletree.  Snow Hill EMS transported 2 to PRMC in Salisbury.  There were 3 additional refusals at the scene.

On Friday, August 6, 2010 at 7:13 AM Girdletree was alerted for a residential house fire at 6618 Taylor Landing Road.  Arriving firefighters found the roof area of two story block construction home on fire with extension to the interior.  The fire was quickly extinguished and the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office conducted an investigation and determined the cause to be lightening.  Fire Companies from Stockton, Snow Hill and Pocomoke, Maryland and Greenbackville, Virginia were alerted and assisted with the incident.  Click READ MORE for additional pictures.
